We’re seeking a full-time Fire Sprinkler Helper based in Reno, NV. As an Helper, you’ll gain hands-on experience installing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems while applying your training in the field. After six months, you will be eligible for the official apprenticeship through AFSA. This is an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding career in fire protection with structured guidance and advancement opportunities. Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. Inspect systems for proper operation and safety compliance. Read and follow plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. Lift, carry, and place fire sprinkler materials. Follow OSHA and MSHA safety requirements at all times. Once qualified, participate in AFSA training programs, including study and testing. This role is best suited for individuals seeking a long-term career, not short-term opportunities or job hoppers. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Pass a pre-employment background check and urinalysis test. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Willingness to work flexible hours, on-call, and occasional overnight travel. Physical Requirements Sit, stand, kneel, crouch, or stoop for prolonged periods. Operate a motor vehicle safely. Climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs. Navigate areas with limited space and difficult access. Lift, transport, and place objects up to 70 lbs safely. Work both indoors and outdoors. Use trade-specific hand and power tools.
