JOB SUMMARY:

  • Inspector will be responsible to test and inspect as well as perform routine maintenance/ service on Fire Sprinkler Systems and other fire suppression equipment as assigned by office in a thorough descriptive manner documenting system deficiencies as required.
  • Inspector will be responsible for completing NFPA testing reports as required for the equipment inspected.
  • Positively interact with customers to explain work performed and answer questions involving their systems.
  • Maintain and keep an organized truck inventory (equipment/parts and tools) to ensure proper response to customers’ needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NC State Inspectors License or NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems
  • Applicants should have 2-5 years experience in Fire Protection work.
  • Applicant must also have excellent communication skills, and effective customer service skills.
  • Applicant must be drug free and have a good driving record.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Inspection of Fire Sprinkler Systems at a technician level: Min. of 2 years
Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for inspecting various types Fire Sprinkler Systems, etc. according to applicable NFPA codes.
  • Must be technologically savvy to have ability to fill out various reports on tablet in an organized manner.
  • Must be willing to occasionally perform service work etc. upon request of supervisor.
  • Must know how to operate power equipment lifts and hand tools.
  • Must have the drive to keep inspections on or ahead of schedule.
  • Have the ability to proficiently lead a crew.
