Description

Are you an experienced Electrician looking for a change of pace? Tired of the intense physical demands of traditional electrical work? Australian Workplace Test & Tag (AWTT) is seeking a Fire Technician - Electrical to join our growing team in Brisbane. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your electrical expertise in a more consistent and structured environment, with less strenuous physical demands.
At AWTT, we pride ourselves on providing essential safety and compliance services across Australia. We’re looking for a skilled professional who values attention to detail, strong customer relationships, and a reliable workday.

Responsibilities
  • As a Fire Technician - Electrical, you’ll be responsible for a variety of crucial safety and compliance tasks, including:
  • Performing routine fire equipment tests: Carry out monthly, 6-monthly, and annual tests across portable fire equipment to the relevant Australian Standards.
  • Conducting electrical safety checks: Attend sites to perform Test & Tag and Safety Switch (RCD’s) testing.
  • Undertaking maintenance and repairs: Perform electrical repair works related to Exit and Emergency Lighting, Fire Panels, and other essential systems.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service: Provide courteous customer service, liaise with customers to assist and advise with general enquiries, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Ensuring compliance and efficiency: Conduct safety & compliance checks with high attention to detail and work with the Scheduler to manage workloads efficiently.
While based in Brisbane, this role involves some inter and intra-state travel, offering a varied work environment without the constant rigours of new construction or roof space challenges.
