Description

Instructs & evaluates students in the Ohio Fire Academy's various training programs. Ensures student safety in classroom & on training grounds. Counsels' students & conducts skill testing (i.e., IFSAC Accreditation) Reviews, analyzes, & evaluates programs, methods, materials & equipment to ensure compliance with NFPA standards (e.g., makes recommendations to improve lesson plans, assists in setting up resident programs, provides input for new course development & updates current courses. Tracks and maintains student course records. This position will be focused on teaching the Ohio Fire Academy's Fire and EMS Certification Program. Certified as Public Safety Instructor in firefighting by Department of Public Safety pursuant to Section 4765.55 of Revised Code, valid driver's license. Job Skills: Fire & EMS
