OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Fire Watch to join our team. The Fire Watch plays a crucial role in ensuring safety during hot work operations and other activities that may pose fire hazards. This position requires constant monitoring of work areas, reporting any potential fire risks, and taking immediate action in case of an emergency.

REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOITABLE)

  • Must have a valid Florida Security D License
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have your own vehicle
  • Must STAY AWAKE THE ENTIRE SHIFT
  • Must observe and report (document in system) EVERY 30 MINS

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a safety role or as a Fire Watch is required.
  • Familiarity with fire safety regulations and emergency response procedures is advantageous.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail to identify potential hazards.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor designated areas for signs of fire or smoke during hot work operations.
  • Maintain a clear line of communication with the work crew and emergency services.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Implement fire prevention measures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Document any incidents or near misses and report them to the supervisor.
  • Assist in evacuating personnel in the event of a fire or other emergencies.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
