Design District Décor LLC is a reputed interior design and fit-out company operating across the UAE, delivering high-quality commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential projects. We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Firefighting Engineer – Fit-Out to manage the design, installation, and commissioning of firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of UAE experience in firefighting system design and implementation, preferably in fit-out or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of firefighting codes and standards (NFPA, UAE Civil Defense).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with local authority approvals and inspection procedures.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience working on commercial, retail, hospitality, or residential fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of integrated MEP coordination and project management tools.
Responsibilities
  • Design, review, and approve firefighting systems including sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, and suppression systems for fit-out projects.
  • Prepare hydraulic calculations, layouts, and specifications for firefighting installations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, MEP engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of firefighting equipment and systems on site.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE civil defense regulations, NFPA standards, and local authority requirements.
  • Inspect materials and workmanship for quality assurance.
  • Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve any technical issues related to firefighting systems.
  • Maintain documentation and support project handover and certification processes.
