Description
Based at the Firm's regional hubs in Hong Kong or Singapore, this is a multi-faceted role for a high performing credit risk professional with responsible for coverage of the Corporate Credit portfolio and evaluation of new transactions across financing and derivatives. The role will have the following key responsibilities: Perform credit due diligence and analysis and make recommendations on credit approval/ risk appetite on lending and derivatives counterparties to the Firm. Conduct due diligence calls/ meetings/ site visits with clients, perform independent research and establish credit ratings of counterparties. Conduct industry research and develop sovereign and macro risk views as need to support decision making. Assess and approve transactions including general corporate lending and leverage finance loans or other structured credit/ private financing. Collaborate with origination teams and regional credit coverage team on structuring and documentation for proposed transactions. Assess progress of syndication efforts against proposed and approved targets. Analyze and make approval decision on derivatives transactions within assigned limit authority. Prepare loan approval memos and annual/ quarterly review memos for lending and derivatives counterparties. Monitor portfolio quality on an ongoing basis and recommend rating actions / asset classifications etc. Present to Credit Senior management, global and regional committees, and other internal and external stakeholders. Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Economics. MBA or CFA strongly preferred. At least 1 year of credit analysis experience in the financial services industry. Candidates with 5 years or more experience will be considered for Associate role. Masters or equivalent professional qualification (CFA, CA, CPA, etc) would be advantageous Strong fundamental credit analysis and research skills (knowledge of Asia Pacific corporates preferred) Experience in working on corporate finance and loan transactions with familiarity on loan structure, terms and documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to quickly establish credibility with regional and global credit coverage team. Good team player with strong initiative and appetite to learn in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrable track record of working under pressure and managing multiple projects with limited supervision. Familiarity with derivatives and derivatives documents (ISDA/CSA/NAFMII) - optional Fluent mandarin skills (spoken and written) preferable.
