Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as a Digital Hardware Engineer in our Electrical Research and Development department focused on embedded software, circuit board, FPGA, and custom ASIC designs.

THIS IS A ROLE WELL SUITED TO AN AMBITIOUS PROFESSIONAL, LOOKING FOR THE NEXT STEP IN THEIR CAREER. AS A DIGITAL HARDWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Implementing complex digital hardware systems targeting both Xilinx and Intel FPGAs.
• Performing board and system level processor integration using development environments in Windows and Linux.
• Utilizing SystemVerilog and VHDL to create firmware designs that will interface to external peripherals and memory, process data from sensors and detectors, and monitor system health and performance.
• Coordinating with board and system level design engineers during the hardware development and testing phases of a project.
• Creating documentation of new firmware command interfaces, features, and verification plans.
• Designing testbenches for validating firmware designs using Mentor Graphics Questa simulator.
• Utilizing C# and python to create GUI applications for automated testing of hardware and to create debugging and integration tools for new designs.
• Your work will often involve interacting with the analog and digital hardware and utilizing the embedded software and custom development tools for verifying hardware operation.

REQUIRED SKILLS TO HAVE FOR THE SUCCESS OF THIS ROLE

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of Digital Hardware or Firmware development experience.
• Occasional (5%) travel may be required.

  The annual base pay for this position is:
  Min $97,100 - Max $145,600
  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
