Summary
We are looking for a “Firmware / FPGA Developer for Secondary Radar (f/m/d)” for the “IFF / COMMS Product Development” department at the Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.
The “IFF/COMMS Product Development” department is responsible for the development of IFF devices in the secondary radar area such as interrogator and transponder product families. It also develops operating and display software for a wide range of radar systems. Our division supplies system solutions for air, ground and sea-based platforms for military and civilian users.

Your Tasks

  • Creation of firmware (FW) requirements & FW architecture
  • Implementation of FW requirements through FPGA programming in VHDL code according to FW coding standard
  • Creation of VHDL testbenches for verification / simulation of the code
  • Definition of low level test cases for the verification of FW requirements
  • Definition of HW test scripts
  • Implementation of the test cases and documentation of the results
  • Performing code reviews and ensuring traceability between requirements and code
  • Supporting integration and system tests
  • Implementation of version control with SVN / Git
  • Close cooperation with colleagues from development (system engineering, hardware, software)

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable
  • Many years of experience in the field of FPGA development with VHDL (XILINX Vivado Design Suite, XILINX ISE Design Suite, QuestaSim)
  • Experience with UltraScale+ MPSoC advantageous
  • Knowledge of DOORS & Enterprise Architect advantageous
  • Knowledge of Python programming advantageous
  • Independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working
  • Strong ability to work in a team and customer orientation
  • Commitment and motivation
  • Very good knowledge of English
