Nolan Meats is a family owned and operated meat processing plant situated in Gympie, Qld. We are a progressive, innovative Company employing in excess of 500 Team Members and require people who are seeking a challenging opportunity in a result orientated environment.
A position is currently available for a person interested in pursuing a career as a full-time First Class Welder.

The successful candidate must:

• Have successfully completed AQF Qualification either a Certificate 111 in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or formal training that is comparable.
• Possess skills that are current to Australian industry standards demonstrated by two years full time employment.

You will have demonstrated experience and able to:

• Interpret and analyse technical drawings, blueprints and schematics to determine size and arrangement of metal parts.
• Cut marked- out metal sections using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines.
• Utilize measurement tools to ensure accuracy in cutting and fitting processes.
• Apply various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal parts, ensuring strong and precise welds, bolting and riveting.
• Conduct inspections of welds to confirm compliance with industry standards and technical specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding and fitting equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Enhance and finish welds by utilising methods such as filing, chiselling and grinding.
• Follow all safety procedures and strictly adhere to PPE policies, including the wearing of safety helmet, gloves and safety glasses.
• Work well with other Team members and support them with specialised work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00
