Over our 26 years, we’ve achieved a lot, but our proudest accomplishment is helping over half a million Australians reach their goals with our ever-expanding lending options.  The Role This role sits in the first line of accountability (Line 1) and plays a critical part in providing confidence to the Asset Finance business by monitoring key risks as well as reviewing and improving the quality of originations processes — particularly across Credit and Settlements.  You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Asset Finance and Line 2 Operational Risk & Compliance to identify process gaps, policy breaches and improvement opportunities, while helping ensure we continue to meet Pepper’s regulatory and risk obligations. This secondment is a great opportunity to broaden your exposure to risk, governance and control monitoring, while deepening your understanding of how Asset Finance operates end‑to‑end. * Complete assurance reviews and control monitoring activities across Asset Finance Originations, along with targeted reviews as directed by your Manager. * Capture and report review outcomes in line with agreed targets, supporting leaders to identify process gaps, policy breaches or exceptions. * Escalate and document identified risks in a timely manner, supporting effective risk management and decision‑making. * Support your Manager with GRC-related activities, including identification & reviews of incidents, issues and continuous improvement actions when required. About you We’re looking for someone who is curious, detail‑oriented and keen to build deeper capability in risk and governance, with a strong understanding of Asset Finance processes. * Experience within Asset Finance, Credit, Settlements, Operations, Risk or Compliance, with a solid understanding of origination processes. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to review, assess and challenge processes against policy and regulatory requirements. * Confidence in communicating findings and recommendations in a clear, practical and constructive way. * A proactive mindset, with a willingness to identify improvement opportunities and support positive change. * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet agreed timeframes. * An interest in developing your career in risk, governance or assurance, and gaining broader business exposure.
