QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR Position Purpose: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on raw materials, first piece, in-process, and final pieces of manufactured parts to quality assurance standards. Accurately completes and maintains all quality control documentation. Essential Functions: * Utilize implemented standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation. * Utilize implemented methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material. * Applies statistical process control methodology as required to control critical part characteristics. * Perform inspection of raw material, manufactured parts, production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards. * Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets in accordance with AS 9100 Rev C Standard. * Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, production traveler, work instruction, and process specifications when completing a variety of inspection tasks. * Verify inspection equipment, machinery and tools used are calibrated and maintained per company policy. * Notify the operator when a non-conformance is found and document findings on the appropriate form in accordance with quality procedures. * Bring improvements/problems/issues to the attention of the Quality Control Manager. * Work efficiently to achieve targeted goals as set by the production schedule. * Performs other duties as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the company. * Hardness test parts and record data Education and Training: * High school diploma or comparable experience. Minimum Qualifications: * Minimum 2 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Knowledgeable in the use of the Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel * Strong math and computer skills * Ability to use and experience with Standard measuring Equipment i.e. Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, Optical Comparator, Coordinated Measuring Machine. * Familiarity with SOP’s to AS9100 Rev C standards Physical Demands: * Occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. * Ability to handle materials safely. * Frequently required to utilize wrist, hand and finger dexterity.
