Department/Organization: 200019 - Capstone Center for Student Success
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings and weekends required.
Job Summary: The First Year Student Retention Program Coordinator implements and coordinates a variety of student-oriented programs designed to support persistence and retention of first-year students. Assists Program Manager with large-scale programs and targeted retention initiatives including communication efforts for case management of student participants.
Additional Department Summary: Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in a collaborative manner. Strong relationship building skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field. Experience in communication, marketing, and coordinating programs for first-year students.
