Description

LGUHS is seeking a finance professional to oversee a small fiscal department and manage a budget of around $5 million annually. Duties include:

  • Supervising the fiscal assistant, establishing all fiscal policies and procedures, and ensuring department runs efficiently and effectively;
  • Preparing all budgets in conjunction with the Executive Director, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring the proper use of grant funds;
  • Assuming responsibility for the safety and integrity of all fiscal records, regular reporting to the LGUHS Board of Trustees and Policy Council, the Office of Head Start and other governing agencies, and preparing reports to the community as required;
  • Administering payroll and benefits for a staff of around 80 employees;
  • Coordinating the annual agency audit and assisting the independent auditor as necessary;
  • Working closely with the Executive Director and the management team for program planning, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development.

Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, fiscal management or a related field and must be skilled in general cost accounting functions, general payroll functions, developing and maintaining program budgets, working closely with staff, attention to detail, and effective communication. Experience with a non-profit organization and grant funding is preferred.
Successful candidates must be able to pass a thorough background check, physical exam, drug test, and must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Minimum starting salary is $69,447 with consideration given to education and experience. The position also includes generous paid time off, a 401(k) plan, available medical, dental and vision insurance with employee contribution to premiums, and life insurance.
