Work with CFO, Dept CFO, and other team members to prepare & key annual operation plans and biennial budget requests for the Department.           2. Complete day-to-day budget adjustments & analysis     3. Assist with Division presentations as needed       4. Prepare monthly & quarterly financial reports for Management and board meeting presentations.       5. Prepare and submit new coding forms for new programs.     6. Prepare and submit Legislative Requests (e.g. Various Temporary Appropriation, Miscellaneous Federal Grants, etc.       7. Set up coding guides and Fund Reservations annually     8. During June, prepare daily projections reports.                                             Purchasing  Management - Back Up Duties           1. Oversight and review purchase requisitions for proper coding, backup     documentation and approvals.           2. Advise/guide personnel on purchasing policies, procedures and established OSP guidelines.       3. Review/release purchase orders prepared by staff.       4. This position combines expertise in fiscal operations with leadership responsibilities, offering guidance and supervision to staff in day-to-day tasks.Primary Responsibilities The assignment of supervisory duties is determined by the hiring agency's operational needs. Non-supervisory roles will serve as senior technical experts. Supervise fiscal support staff in daily operations. Ensure that fiscal support services, including billing, payments, and accounting functions, are completed correctly. Provide technical expertise in resolving complex fiscal issues. Assist in the training and development of team members. Review and approve financial reports, reconciliations, and audits. Act as a liaison between other departments and the fiscal support team.Knowledge and Skills Strong knowledge of state fiscal policies, regulations, and best practices. Expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to lead and develop a team effectively. High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Three to five years of experience in fiscal management or accounting.
