Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with at least 3 years of experience in the interior design and fit-out sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and fit-out projects, from initial calculations to final figures, while ensuring value for money and project quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator role within the interior design and fit-out industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and finishes specific to interiors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software such as PlanSwift, CostX, or similar.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and market prices.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for commercial, retail, and residential fit-out projects.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate material take-offs and costings.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Monitor project budgets and prepare cost reports throughout project life cycles.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and verify quantities on-site.
  • Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts and managing subcontractor agreements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to understand scope and resolve cost-related issues.
  • Assist in value engineering to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Update and maintain a cost database for internal reference and future projects.
