Description

We are hiring Fit Out Engineer with 02-03 years experience in UAE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review project drawings and specifications to gain full understanding of project scope, client goals and expectations, and resource requirements for each phase of the project.
  • Assist in soliciting and coordinating subcontractor and supplier bids for labor, material, work schedules, project negotiation on Payment terms and equipment.
  • Should be experienced in handling the entire coordination of project related supplies, Local purchases, Logistics from project site inception stage to project completion.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of general contracts, project schedules, procurement schedules and sequencing logic.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Manage client interaction and promote positive relationships with all the stake holders/ Office staff / workers/ sub-contractors & suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with financial, operational, and scheduling requirements.
  • The decisions made by them must be based on facts and solid evidence rather than speculation or instincts.
  • Excellent skills to negotiate with suppliers & Sub contractors in terms of work quality and attain desired payment terms.
  • Should have knowledge in working on AutoCAD- 2D and skill set in reading the drawings properly for doing quantity take off., site survey and preparing BOQ/ quotations.
  • Must have worked at Fitout project sites to understand Project, Procurement planning, Project scheduling, Site / Project Engineering & Supervision, Records upkeep etc.
  • To manage communication between all parties involved in development, where appropriate.
  • Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Ensure site complies within guidelines of health and safety and security.
  • Liaise with main and sub-contractors to ensure smooth completion of tasks and adherence to site regulations.
  • Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site.
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
  • Agree a price for materials and make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project
  • Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
  • Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
  • Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
  • Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects
  • Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Prepare reports as required
  • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
