THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Centre Manager to lead our team at HOLD FAST TRAINING (Fitstop Westminster). This is a unique opportunity to take the reins of a vibrant fitness community, drive its growth, and make a significant impact on both our members and staff. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader with a hands-on approach who is ready to manage all facets of the business, from operations and sales to team leadership and member engagement.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a management role within the fitness or service industry.
  • A passion for fitness and a comprehensive understanding of training methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience in staff recruitment and performance management.
  • Strong business acumen, including proficiency in sales, marketing, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with both members and staff.
  • Relevant fitness qualifications and certifications (e.g., Cert III & IV in Fitness).
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing day-to-day business operations to ensure smooth and effective management.
  • Enhancing membership acquisition systems and aligning promotional efforts with targeted local marketing initiatives.
  • Driving growth by meeting key business metrics such as membership increases, revenue goals, and performance benchmarks.
  • Monitoring sales results and providing analysis to guide performance optimization.
  • Developing strong community ties and fostering relationships to promote engagement and visibility.
  • Assessing and refining retention strategies to maintain a stable and satisfied member base.
  • Providing tailored support to both members and staff throughout their experience to encourage commitment and progress.
  • Maintaining a high standard of presentation, safety, and functionality across all club facilities and equipment.
  • Managing recruitment activities including candidate selection, staff onboarding, training, and performance supervision.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace safety protocols and upholding the centre’s security standards.
  • Leading group training sessions and, when appropriate, delivering individual coaching or personal training outside of scheduled classes.
