As the Fitness Director, your primary responsibility is delivering a fitness program which enables residents to feel youthful and remain mobile, which requires intimately knowing every resident and their unique needs and preferences. Other primary responsibilities include: Plan, organize, and execute a variety of engaging fitness, health and nutrition classes and events, both individually and through outside providers, for our residents, including residents in Harbor Directly lead small group fitness classes and provide one on one fitness training to residents Manage outside service providers delivering fitness, health and nutrition classes Assess every resident’s physical condition to move-in, and periodically thereafter, and develop individualize fitness goals and a program to meet those goals for them Publish a monthly calendar of fitness, health, and nutrition related classes and events Collaborate with the Culinary, Resident Services and Harbor teams on planning fitness, health and nutrition classes and events that utilize the full capabilities of the community and team, and that seek to engage every resident regardless of mobility or physical limitations Deliver on the YUSM promise: that through individualized support, resident will still feel youthful, stay useful, be spontaneous, and remain mobile.
