Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Assistant Manager - Macdonald Campus Recreation, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed functions. These functions are of high complexity and the incumbent performs them using general instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate fitness group classes.
  • Adapt classes to the specific groups - ranging from beginners to advanced.
  • As required, modify moves and techniques for participants who may have limitations.
  • Address any emergency issues requiring attention to supervisor or security.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • First Aid and CPR C Certification recommended
  • Group fitness training certification - MUST BE CURRENT
  • Fluent in English, basic spoken French
