FITNESS MANAGER AT ANYTIME FITNESS

Locations: West Hartford, Glastonbury, Cromwell, Ellington, Somers, Farmington, Granby, Newington, Windsor, Southington, Wilton, and Canton, CT.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Fitness Manager at Anytime Fitness, your primary responsibility is to help all members “get to a healthier place.” In addition to personally training clients, your ultimate role is to coach and develop the trainers for success. You will be responsible for coaching in areas such as programming, sales, and service. Serving as a “guidance counselor” for members, an “educator and mentor” for training staff, and a “strategist” for the Club Director, you will manage the Member Onboarding Process, conduct fitness consultations, determine appropriate resources for each member, and maintain a high retention score to ensure ongoing member engagement. While training and programming skills are important, your main focus will be on leading the fitness department as a sales manager and team leader, driving productivity and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Three fitness certifications, including a Certified Personal Training certificate from accrediting bodies such as NASM, NSCA, ACSM, WITS, AFFA, ACE, ISSA, or a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated progressive success within the fitness environment
  • Previous management experience
