Description

The YMCA of Concord is seeking an experienced Fitness Manager to lead and grow our fitness and wellness programs. If you’re a dedicated fitness professional with strong leadership skills, this is a rewarding opportunity to inspire healthier lives and make a lasting impact in your community.
As the Fitness Manager, you’ll oversee our health, fitness, and wellness programs, manage a team of certified personal trainers, support the Group Exercise programs and staff, while ensure an exceptional member experience in a supportive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or similar nationally recognized certification)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in personal training, group exercise, or wellness coaching
  • Proven leadership and staff supervision experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fitness software
  • A strong passion for health, fitness, and community engagement
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of the Fitness, Health & Wellness Department
  • Manage personal training staff, clients, and program development
  • Serve as a Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach as needed
  • Support Group Exercise programs and staff members
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing fitness team
  • Promote member engagement and retention through excellent service
  • Design innovative training programs tailored to community needs
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming fitness facility
  • Support YMCA community events and health initiatives
  • Oversee scheduling, supply inventory, and equipment upkeep
