POSITION OVERVIEW

Hillsdale Fabricators, Alberici’s steel division and one of the largest steel fabricators in the Midwest, is hiring Fitters for full-time positions in St. Louis, MO.
As part of our team, you will create top-level assemblies used to build stadiums, multi-story buildings, bridges, and hospitals. Collaborating with fellow professionals in your craft, you will take collections of structural cross sections of steel and bring them to heights that will last for generations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma preferred, but not required. Experience preferred, but not required. Other qualifications include:

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and perform basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Attention to detail with focus on producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

• Using structural drawings, lay out parts across multiple positions and pitches to a high level of precision, consistently ensuring squareness and/or location accuracy.
• Finalize high-level piece marks to ensure proper field fit, ensuring quick and efficient final construction.
• As needed, use heat and mechanical means to manipulate material for the purpose of achieving shape and dimensions per production drawings.
• Assist in developing plans to create efficient and high-quality builds, taking into account necessary welding stop points to best final product.
