Job Description Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and as an integral member of the Mobile Maintenance team, you will safely and effectively maintain heavy earth moving plant equipment to a high standard and meet required targets. ABOUT THE ROLE Work on a variety of plant and equipment including Haul Trucks, Watercarts, Dozers, Graders & Loaders (primarily Caterpillar & Komatsu) to keep the operation running smoothly and reduce downtime Diagnose equipment faults and repair in accordance with OEM requirements & site processes Provide maintenance support to the HVO fleet What does a Trade Upgrade with Hunter Valley Operations look like? Hunter Valley Operations has partnered with APT Training to upskill Mechanical Tradesman to Plant Mechanics. The Trade Upskill is an 18–24-month program, consisting of both on the job learning and off-site training at APT Hydraulics training centre in Mayfield for 1 week (Monday – Friday) every 5-6 weeks. Full time, Fixed-term contract Lifestyle Roster Exposure to a range of mining equipment Learn from experienced tradesman and utilise your mechanical experience in the mining industry ABOUT YOU Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or equivalent Open Cut Coal Mining experience (desirable) Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems and knowledge of SAP (desirable) Prioritise safe work and follow No Plan, No Work policies, and procedures Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment A current and valid manual Australian Driver’s licence Experience working with and demonstrated compliance with work area permit systems High Risk Work Licences such as Forklift, EWP & Working at Heights will be highly regarded ROSTER AND LOCATION Lifestyle Roster (12 hour rotating day/night shifts) Based on site at HVO North Facility Working for us isn’t like working at any old mine. Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) produces some of the world’s highest quality thermal and semi-soft metallurgical coal for export. Our operation comprising of HVO North and HVO South – are in Lemington near the NSW Upper Hunter town of Singleton. Considering a career with HVO?
