Description

As a Fitter/Fabricator within BES, you will be working from our site in Bower and other Site Works locations around Caithness, supporting our growing business in the Nuclear Decommissioning, Construction and Renewable Energy sectors. You will be responsible for providing fabricating and welding support to our various projects.
Job Title: Fitter/Fabricator
Salary: From £21.50/hour, negotiable dependant on experience
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am to 4.45pm, Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Must have completed a relevant Engineering Apprenticeship or have a good number of years’ experience in a similar role
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills
  • Must have good written and spoken communication skills
  • Must be well organised and work well under pressure
  • Must have a valid right to work in the UK and be able to obtain BPSS and/or SC clearance

    Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Maintenance on a wide range of equipment and plant
  • Read engineering drawings and produce fabrications to a high standard of finish on own initiative

  • To ensure safe working practices at all times
  • Work within an ISO Quality Management System
