JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires hands-on expertise in various welding techniques and the use of power tools, as well as a solid understanding of mechanical principles.
Responsibilities · Blueprint/ Drawing Reading: Reads and interprets Eng provided drawings and build sheets for components.
· Fabrication: precision cutting and attention to detail are crucial
· Welding: Welding is a core skill. Mig welding. Alum, Stainless welding is a plus
· Inspection and Quality Control: After components are fabricated and welded, they must undergo inspection. Fitters ensure the components are the correct size and meet all quality requirements called out in prints/ drawings.
· Cutting and Shaping: Fitters use tools, including shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives, to cut and shape structural components as needed. Precision in cutting is vital to ensure that components fit together seamlessly.
· Maintenance and Repair: Not just involved in creating new components; but could also be responsible for maintaining and repairing existing machinery. This includes conducting regular maintenance based on a predefined schedule and diagnosing and fixing malfunctioning equipment in support of keeping facility up and running safely.
· Safety Compliance: Safety is a top priority and must adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations. Always using appropriate protective gear and ensuring their work does not pose risks to themselves or others including Lock out tag Out..
· Willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed.
· Dayshift position under normal circumstances
· Equipment to be operated: Radial Arm Drill, Mag Drill, Stand-up Fork Lift, Yard Truck, Overhead Crane.
