ABOUT THE ROLE

The Mechanical Fitter role is a Full-time position, based at Oxley, QLD. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site, you will be working on a 12-hr day roster (2x Days 6am-6pm,2x Night 6pm-6am, 4 off) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
• Complete planned maintenance tasks.
• Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
• Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your supervisor.
• Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxes/drive assemblies, bearings, rollers etc.
• Basic weld repairs.
• Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
