Job Description The Fitter will be working as part of the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment and machinery in the business are operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and they are kept in safe and good mechanical working order. As a Plant fitter, your work will involve: Regularly inspecting engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, trailers, excavators, tyres, etc Identifying faults, dismantling parts and repairing or replacing faulty parts. Reassembling parts and testing them to make sure they are working properly and safely. Arranging for machinery that cannot be repaired on sites to be transferred to the workshop. Carrying out routines servicing of plant and equipment both on sites and in the workshop.
