Position Summary: AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Portland, Oregon that is the premiere West Coast shipyard for building large Jones Act compliant articulated tug barges, deck barges, dump scows, oil spill recovery vessels, crane barges hopper barges and more. Essential Functions: Tack parts together in preparation for welding Set up and operate welding equipment Visually inspect completed welds to assure adherence to specifications Remove excess slag Perform production welding as required Weld and fit in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions Perform precise fitting work on components (steel panels and other parts) Follow and adhere strictly to Gunderson’s safety policies and regulations Requirements Experienced in gas-shielded flux core welding process Experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment Pass the A-Test
