We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team, focusing on FITS and WELLS, including Filtration, Separation, and Assemblies across multiple product lines. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety while working on complex assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding processes such as GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, and possess strong math skills to support precise measurements and alignment. You’ll complete on-the-job training in lean manufacturing, safety protocols, and engineering documentation compliance, ensuring that all work meets the company’s standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience or training.
  • Strong background in mathematics for accurate measurement and assembly.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, diagrams, sketches, work orders, and weld symbols.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior knowledge of specific welding processes and techniques, including GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW.

ADA REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel.

Responsibilities
  • Successfully complete Peerless initial and ongoing job training programs, including work functions and lean manufacturing topics.
  • Maintain compliance with engineering documentation and meet or exceed the company’s quality thresholds.
  • Perform burning, fitting, welding, and grinding of product assemblies.
  • Layout, position, align, and fit components together according to engineering specifications.
  • Communicate any substandard materials, drawings, or conditions that do not meet company quality standards to the supervisor or lead, and co-workers.

  • Wear and utilize all required safety equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
