PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Able to lift 55 pounds regularly throughout the shift
· In a one-hour period throughout the workday, approximately 45 minutes standing, 5 minutes kneeling/stooping and 10 minutes walking
· Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
· Must be able to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
· While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions
· Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range
· Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cool in winter months and hot in the summer months

GENERAL SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES;
· Fit and assemble custom material handling equipment and rolling ladders
· Read and interpret engineered and drafted drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
· Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
· Develop a sequence of assembly
· Develop Templates and Patterns as required
· Layout and fit material according to specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met
· Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
· Provide back-up to other areas of the plant as required
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Fit and Assemble using Light Gauge Mig Welder 14ga to ¼” plate
· Rig, hoist and move materials to worksite or storage area
· Position, manipulate and install fabricated objects
· Set up and operate various metal fabricating machines such as shear, saw and ironworker
· Operate fabrication tools such as grinder, drills and cutting torches
· Perform basic machine maintenance such as blade changes, calibration, and maintaining fluid levels
· Use hand and power tools, in a safe and efficient manner, to clean cut parts
· Handle raw material and cut parts manually and using overhead crane
· Read and comprehend customer specification sheets
· Be able to anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products needed
· Organize equipment and materials to minimize downtime
o Demonstrate acceptable level of capabilities in all areas of the Plant during General Labour Rotation
· Report any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to Supervisor or Production Manager
· Forklift driving if licensed
· Assist with inventories
· Housekeeping and Maintenance in all areas
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Keep Work Area clean
· Miscellaneous jobs in the production area, as needed or directed
