FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTANT - BENELUX

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical in managing the company’s capex and fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The position is open to candidates based in The Netherlands. Our office is located on the Waalhaven Zuidzijde (Port City building) in Rotterdam, and you can work hybrid (60% office and 40% from home).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in fixed asset accounting or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced Excel and PowerBI proficiency
  • Knowledge of fixed assets modules within ERP systems

  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and tracked
  • Monitoring the accuracy and completeness of capex projects
  • Record Fixed Asset acquisitions and disposals in a timely and precise manner
  • Reconcile fixed asset balances to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with internal and external audits and reporting related to fixed assets
  • Ensure compliance with US and Dutch GAAP and other applicable accounting regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations and business control) to support financial projects and initiatives
  • You look at improvements in efficiency and the reliability of the registrations
  • Provide support for other accounting functions as needed
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • You can express yourself well in English, both in writing and orally.
Responsibilities
  • Salary range of € 3.500,- / € 4.400 gross a month based on 40 hours p/w
