Summary of the Job: The Fixed Income Associate provides comprehensive support to the Institutional Fixed Income sales team, ensuring seamless execution, excellent client service, and strong operational oversight. This role requires a professional who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced trading and sales environment. The Associate will assist with trade processing, client onboarding and servicing, and administrative tasks that enable the sales force to focus on revenue-generating activities. About This Role: Client Support: Assist brokers in onboarding and servicing of client accounts, including processing orders, responding to client inquiries, and providing general account support. Sales Support: Prepare client paperwork and coordinate with the sales team to support smooth onboarding and timely follow-up. Operational Coordination: Partner with internal operations teams to ensure timely and effective execution of account opening and ongoing servicing Trade Execution: Support brokers in executing trades and monitoring trade affirmations and settlements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to industry regulations and company policies. Assist with compliance-related tasks, including documentation and reporting. Learning and Development: Participate in ongoing training and maintain awareness of market developments to enhance industry knowledge and capabilities. Key Skills: Attention to Detail: Ability to review data, trade details, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy. Analytical Skills: Strong comfort with numbers, spreadsheets, bond math, and evaluating financial information. Communication: Clear and professional written and verbal communication with brokers, clients, and internal teams. Multi-Tasking & Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced trading environment. Client Service Orientation: Strong commitment to responsiveness and delivering a positive client experience. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues quickly and work with internal teams to resolve operational or trade-related challenges. Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales, trading, operations, and compliance to support the desk. Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial systems, trading platforms, and CRM/OMS tools. Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of industry rules, trade documentation, and compliance expectations (or willingness to learn). Adaptability: Comfort navigating shifting market conditions, desk demands, and evolving priorities. The Ideal Candidate for This Role: Experience: 2+ years of experience in a financial services environment, or relevant internships. Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role is a plus. Licensing: FINRA licenses; SEI, Series 7, and Series 63 Desired: Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 #IND123 Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
