Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The EMEA Repo Trading Middle Office Head - VP will report to the Global Repo Trading Middle Office Head. The Candidate will be based in Belfast, and lead our EMEA Repo Trading Middle Office staff supporting the EMEA Finance Desk and Markets businesses trading Repo products on Citi’s internal Repo platform.
The successful candidate will oversee a team of 3 Belfast based employees and 4 offshore employees, who perform Trade & Lifecycle Management, Front to Back Reconciliations and Exception management in support of the Finance Desk’s activity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Function as key escalation point and face off to London based Finance Desk whilst working closely with each of the broader operational components that support both businesses that are co-located in our Belfast location to ensure a seamless front to back process and service offering.

The Candidate’s primary objectives will be to:

  • Direct supervision of groups daily processes & front to back controls, checklists, and Control Dashboards
  • Oversee timely and successful deal closing and final settlement functions by performing Supervisory review / sign off as part key Manual Payment Processing controls.
  • Oversee other key areas of Control spanning Regulatory filing, Exceptions & Monitoring and MCA Completeness.
  • Represent the group in key strategic initiatives which reduce Operational Touchpoints thus reducing processing and payment risk.
