POSITION SUMMARY:

El Toro Auto Group based in San Antonio, TX is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fixed Operations Director to lead our service and parts department at Ford of Pleasanton. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction throughout fixed operations. Ford experience is a strong plus and highly preferred.
Ford of Pleasanton is now operating in our brand new, state-of-the-art facility featuring a climate controlled shop, over 50 service bays, and all new equipment!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Fixed Operations leadership role (preferably with Ford or other high-volume dealerships).
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding fixed ops performance goals.
  • Deep understanding of a dealership DMS system (DealerTrack).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Ford systems, processes, and metrics (preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of fixed operations, including service, parts, and reconditioning departments.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase profitability, streamline operations, and improve customer retention.
  • Lead and mentor our service drive manager, advisors, and support staff to achieve performance goals and maintain a culture of excellence.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as hours per RO, gross profit, effective labor rate, and parts inventory turns.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM and dealership policies, safety standards, and customer service guidelines.
  • Manage budgets, forecast department expenses, and control operational costs.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align service goals with overall dealership objectives.
  • Maintain positive OEM relationships and oversee warranty claims, factory programs, and training requirements.
