We are currently seeking an inspiring Maths Lecturer to deliver high-quality GCSE and Functional Skills Maths programmes up to Level 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to support learners in developing essential numeracy skills that will shape their future success.
This is a fixed-term position until 1st January 2027, ideal for someone ready to make a strong impact over the next two academic years.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification and preferably a degree in a relevant subject.
  • Experience delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to diverse learner groups, including 14–19+ age range.
  • Knowledge of Eduqas GCSE and Pearson Functional Skills Maths specifications.
  • Strong understanding of the OFSTED framework for Further Education.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with SEND.
Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-standard maths teaching across a range of levels, ensuring all students make meaningful progress.
  • Prepare and evaluate course materials, assignments, and assessments.
  • Monitor learner progress and attendance, providing support and interventions where needed.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in college promotional events, course reviews, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of the role.
