Description

Position Summary: Works with suppliers to ensure equipment/tooling/ fixture is delivered on time; Make sure tooling meet all specifications with good quality,including within budget; Responsible for improvement of fixtures and processes; Drive development of strategic supplier panel in China to support global business. Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: * Develop procurement strategy and establish costmodel for fixtures; * Active management of supplir portfolio, aligned cross-functional; * Effectively negotiate with supplier to get reasonable cost for all tooling; * Track the fixture development process and write the report to share the fixture development status with the global tooling team. * Solve the problem during fixture development. * Do fixture inspection for buy off according to the fixture acceptance checking list and write the inspection report. * Design for Manufacturability (DFM) compliance; * Provide assistance to the fixture export; * Ensure fixtures are delivered on time and consistent with Shape build requirements; * Maintain good working relationship with suppliers, production team and program team; * Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. * Bachelors of Science or Related Field preferred * 5-8years experience in tooling / welding fixture purchasing for global business * Good cost and value analysis skills; * Experience with Auto CAD, 3D software (solidworks, UG)is plus * Results orientated, and multi task individual * Understand the fixture design and measurement, cost model for welding fixture * Troubleshooting skills * GD&T experience * Spoken & Written English skills
