Williamsburg Charter High School Williamsburg Charter High School located in Brooklyn is seeking an energetic, motivated and inspiring Flag Football Coach for our high school team during the 2025-26 school year. Applicants should have at least 1-2 years of experience in coaching. Knowledge of surrounding area sporting events is a plus. Applicants with no coaching experience but a background participating on a college/university level team, please apply. The coach will work under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director. The coach will be responsible for training athletes, preparing them for competition and developing their skills at a competitive level. The coach will be required to enforce discipline, nurture student needs, and model sportsman-like behavior at all times. The Spring season will begin in March. Practice days are flexible; generally practice times are generally from 3:30pm (arrival) to 5:30pm, but can vary from time to time. Responsibilities: Communicate and work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents Monitor and report on student progress and performance Collaborate and consult with staff on student performance in Softball activity and schoolwork Maintain ongoing communication with Athletics Program Director Develop positive relationships with students that promotes wellness, growth, respect, and self-esteem Act as a positive role model for students Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: A commitment to the mission and programs of WCHS Experience working with youth and adolescent population Bachelor's degree preferred At least two years of coaching experience Ensure the Flag Football curriculum is structured, age-appropriate, and has clear learning goals Solid understanding of Softball rules and safety guidelines Must be able to travel to away games or events Must have strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent writing and communication skills Positive, enthusiastic, collaborative, flexible, and approachable attitude Ability to effectively engage and motivate students
