Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished retail banking leader to take on a high‑profile Branch leadership role at our flagship 80 Queen Street branch in Auckland. This role is ideal for a proven banking professional who combines strong commercial acumen with inspirational people leadership, and who is motivated by delivering exceptional customer outcomes while developing high‑performing teams. As Senior Partner – Personal Banking (internal title), you’ll lead one of BNZ’s key Auckland branches, playing a critical role in driving branch performance, strengthening community presence, and ensuring best‑in‑class banking experiences for our customers. What does a day in the life of a Senior Partner – Personal Banking look like? In this senior leadership role, you will: Lead, coach and develop a team of Bankers to deliver high‑quality advice and outstanding customer experiences Apply your retail banking expertise to ensure strong risk, compliance and operational standards are upheld Build and maintain strong relationships in the local community, identifying opportunities to grow both consumer and small business banking portfolios Collaborate across the Branch, Partner and Private Banking network to deliver coordinated customer and commercial outcomes Partner with the Head of Region to develop and execute business plans that achieve financial, customer and people outcomes Act as a visible leader in branch, role‑modelling BNZ’s values, leadership expectations and customer‑first behaviours What’s the team and environment like? You’ll be leading a large, diverse team of Bankers at one of BNZ’s busiest and most visible Auckland locations. The branch environment is fast‑paced and performance‑driven, with a mix of experienced BNZ professionals and emerging talent.
