Position: Head Coach, Flames
Reports to: Director, Access & Awareness
Job Type: Part-Time, Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday 4:00pm – 7:00pm + administration time and competitions
Schedule: September 2025 – June 2026 (10 month)
Location: Variety Village, Scarborough, ON
Rate of Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

SUMMARY:

The Head Coach is responsible for leading the Variety Village Flames swim program, fostering a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for para and able-bodied athletes. This role includes designing and implementing individualized training plans, overseeing competition schedules, coach collaboration and support, and maintaining strong relationships with athletes, families, and the community. The Head Coach will collaborate with internal staff and external partners to advance athlete development, support fundraising and grant initiatives, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and safety standards. This position plays a key role in promoting growth and progression from grassroots to competitive interests, representing Variety Village in local and provincial swimming communities.
