Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: SOP - Portland, OR 97214 Position Type: Full Time Subaru of Portland, a dealership in the O'Brien Auto Group, is currently looking for a full-time Flat Rate Detailer - Entry level. We are searching for individuals who are hardworking, friendly and enjoy interacting with people. The Detailer will be directly responsible for detail our vehicles and customer vehicles with a high level of professionalism. This position pays $20.00 - $22.00 per flat rate hour. Medical/Dental/Vision/RX Ancillary Benefits such as Short/Long Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Life Insurance, Spousal/Child coverages 401(k) plus company match Job Responsibilities • Perform thorough cleaning and detailing of vehicles, including washing, waxing, polishing, and interior detailing. • Ensure vehicles meet dealership standards for appearance before delivery or lot display. • Apply protective coatings and treatments to maintain vehicle finish. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. • Communicate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle readiness and special requests. • Follow all dealership safety and procedural guidelines. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficiency and quality in all detailing tasks Qualifications • Previous automotive detailing or reconditioning experience preferred. • Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Familiarity with detailing chemicals, tools, and equipment. • Good communication skills and reliability. • Professional attitude and commitment to maintaining dealership standards. Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: Hydraulic or electric hoists, hydraulic jacks, engine hoists, jack stands, brake lathes, mechanical or hydraulic presses, drill press, tire servicing equipment, grinders, electric or gas welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and air tools, and measuring tools. Hearing protection as required, face shield, clear goggles, welding goggles, respirators, face masks, and appropriate shoes. Chemicals: Numerous chemicals are used/handled on a frequent basis. Employee will be trained by their supervisor on the safe handling/use of these substances. Employee will follow all safety directives at all times. Physical Demands: Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; lifting 50lbs or less on frequent basis and carrying 25lbs or less on frequent basis; frequent pushing, pulling, twisting and turning of trunk, reaching and handling of objects; occasional climbing, balancing, and crawling. Candidates for this position must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
