Position Description: Fleet Administration Officer

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Daily maintenance of fleet administration database
  • Work schedules and orders provided on time
  • Provide administration support to the fleet team
  • Carry out procurement activities to support fleet operations
  • Vehicle insurance claim management
  • Assist with preparation of tenders for plant and vehicles
  • Carry out annual audits of all Council and RFS plant
  • Maintain and monitor plant replacement program
  • Maintain and monitor Councils internal hire rate system
  • Store issuing, returns and processing for minor plant
  • Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity
  • Contribute to the performance of Council: demonstrate professional conduct, make the best use of knowledge, experience and skills and be accountable for own decisions and actions
  • Contribute to a safe workplace: comply with legislative and organisational requirements and be accountable for own decisions and actions

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate III qualification or above, in Business Administration, or a related discipline with demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role to support contemporary knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively maintain databases
  • Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
  • Demonstrated ability to purchase goods and services while maintaining budget compliance
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes that contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s strategic goals
  • Current Class C drivers Licenc
