Job Details Job Location: PJK Food Service LLC - Landover, MD 20785 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $96,000.00 - $103,000.00 Salary/year Job Summary The Fleet and Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role focuses on developing and implementing safety programs, monitoring driver performance, maintaining regulatory compliance, and reducing risks associated with fleet operations. Key Responsibilities Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of vehicles and equipment. Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Fleet Operations Oversight: Monitor fleet performance, including maintenance schedules and vehicle safety features. Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintain required records. Implement technologies such as GPS tracking and telematics to improve safety and efficiency. Training & Development: Conduct safety training for drivers, including defensive driving and hazard awareness. Lead safety meetings and initiatives to promote a safety-conscious culture. Risk Management & Reporting: Prepare and present safety performance reports to management. Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Transportation, Logistics, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in fleet safety, transportation compliance, or risk management. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with fleet management software and safety reporting tools. Certifications such as Certified Fleet Safety Professional (CFSP) or similar are a plus. Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and analytical skills for safety data review. Ability to train and motivate drivers and staff. Familiarity with telematics and GPS-based fleet tracking systems.
