Description

Overview:
The Fleet Asset Administrator/Stores Coordinator will coordinate the effective management of Network Rail OTM Vehicles and associated assets, ensuring accurate asset maintenance activity tracking, lifecycle monitoring, and compliance with industry standards. Additionally you will oversee the operation of the stores function, ensuring efficient management, storage, issue and recording of materials and parts to support maintenance and operations.
Experience in asset management or inventory/stores coordination within a rail, transport, or engineering environment is required for this role.
The salary on offer for this role is £32,000 - £36,000

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in accordance with Rail industry regulations, as per Network Rail instructions
  • Support asset lifecycle planning, including acquisition, maintenance, renewal and disposal.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of asset inspections, maintenance activities, fault logging and follow up on remedial actions.
  • Generate asset performance reports and dashboards for Engineering, Operational and Commercial stakeholders.
  • Accurate record keeping for compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards for all physical assets.
  • Manage inventory levels for critical and non-critical spares; ensure availability for planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Control goods receipt, issue, storage and dispatch of materials in accordance with depot procedures and safety standards.
  • Liaise with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment.
  • Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and reconciliations reporting inconsistencies as required.
  • Follow health and safety procedures to ensure safe working practices within the depot or on-site environment.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, environmental and quality standards, including Railway Group Standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments within GBRf.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in asset management or inventory/stores coordination within a rail, transport, or engineering environment.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills (Excel, data management systems).
  • Working knowledge of FAMS Desirable
  • Knowledge of health & safety requirements relevant to stores and maintenance depots.
  • Previous experience within OTM and/or Rail Seasonal industries desirable
  • Familiarity with UK rail standards (e.g. Network Rail protocols, RIS, ORR requirements).
  • Asset Management Certification desirable (e.g., IAM Certificate).
  • Manual handling and forklift training desirable (FLT licence).
