Responsibilities

As our new Fleet Compliance and Training Officer you’ll play a key role in making an impact by supporting safe and efficient fleet operations that directly serve and benefit our community. Your work will help ensure our teams are well-trained, our vehicles are compliant, and our services continue to run smoothly making a meaningful difference every day.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Overseeing fleet compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
  • Developing and deliver training programs for drivers and fleet users.
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborating with teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability.Supporting continuous improvement in fleet operations and training practices.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Qualifications/Completed Modules in Training and Assessment for Verification of Competency.
  • Experience in the heavy vehicle industry, particularly in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL).
  • Experience in developing theory and practical training packages.
  • Proven ability in assessing competency of operational staff.
  • Highly developed organisational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice to ensure compliance and practical application
