Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Fleet Compliance Assistant based in Colsterworth.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. You will need to have strong decision-making skills, be able to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
You will be required to focus on all aspects of legal compliance in road transport operations (with supervision) to ensure we meet the criteria for the business to include EU rules (3820/85) and the Working Time Directive 2005 in conjunction with the Fleet Operations Managers.
Ensure accurate and timely service arrangements are pre-arranged and met in conjunction with the appropriate service agents and external agreements. Pro-actively build and maintain good working relationships with our service agents.
Communicating vehicle and driver availability to the planning team via the Insight resource plan as well as by effective ongoing communication.
This is a demanding role where you will be expected to liaise with various departments within the organisation, including senior management to provide updates on progress and feedback any issues.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
  • Responsible for dealing with all tasks related to fleet compliance using R2C.
  • Ensuring drivers are complying with their daily pre/post vehicle checks - VOR
  • Checks on manufacturers service to ensure legal compliance on inspection sheets.
  • Daily nil defects and any advisories.
  • Ensuring the maintenance plan is kept up to date and all Inspection and MOT dates are planned including regular laden brake tests.
  • Responsible for arranging all general servicing for the fleet in conjunction with the relevant fleet planner, including regulatory brake tests.
  • Taking control of our In-House Resource plan by inputting truck services, repairs and Driver information.
  • Accurate & thorough filing of relevant paperwork.
  • Responsible for checking renewal dates on Driver Cards and DQC.
  • Recording Missing Days
  • Investigating Missing Mileage.
  • Checking all Driver and Unit Downloads are up to date.
  • Gathering information regarding Infringements and printing them.
  • Keeping the Infringement spreadsheet up to date.
  • Working Time Directive
  • Driver Licence checks including DQCPC.
  • Planning Driver’s Holidays & weekend & bank holiday working via the driver rota and Resource Plan.
  • Control of PPE stock and ordering of uniform.
  • Incentive Bonus calculation

    Salary is commensurate with experience and relevant qualifications i.e. CPC
