ABOUT YOU

The person we are looking for will bring strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively to get things done. Ideally, you’ll also have experience in fleet management, particularly with the Victorian State Government Vehicle Policy and VicRoads systems, but this is not essential.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent decision-making and negotiation skills, with sound commercial and business acumen
  • Proven experience in document control and managing contracts, including high-value agreements
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of staff, including management
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fixed term, part-time (0.6) opportunity based at the State Logistics Centre in Scoresby to lead the management of CFA’s transport fleet of approximately 300 vehicles.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee contract management with external fleet providers
  • Provide clear and timely advice to internal customers on transport fleet matters
  • Interpret and apply Victorian State Government Vehicle Policy
  • Develop, maintain and manage fleet business rules, processes and systems
  • Support Regional and District Fleet Focal Points with best practice guidance
  • Maintain fleet databases (SAP, RMS)
  • Manage the acquisition, maintenance and disposal of CFA transport vehicles
  • Coordinate annual vehicle registrations and manage fuel cards and toll accounts
