Description Job Summary: The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the organization’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and cost-effective maintenance. This role coordinates vehicle scheduling, tracks usage, and supports drivers to maintain safe and reliable transportation services. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate daily fleet operations, including vehicle assignments and scheduling Monitor vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and performance Schedule and track routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations Maintain accurate records of vehicles, drivers, and service history Manage fleet-related documentation such as registrations, insurance, and permits Track and report on fleet expenses, budgets, and cost-saving opportunities Communicate with drivers regarding safety procedures and vehicle issues Respond to and coordinate resolution of breakdowns or emergencies Support implementation of fleet management software or tracking systems Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred) Experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation coordination Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transportation regulations Strong organizational and multitasking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management systems Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Preferred Skills: Experience with GPS tracking or telematics systems Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles Ability to analyze data and generate reports Strong attention to detail and record-keeping Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20-25 / hour Work Location: In person Sierra Forestry Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
