Are you an experienced, safety-focused truck driver who takes pride in delivering exceptional service? Hynds is looking for a reliable Fleet Driver to join our Rolleston team and keep our products moving safely and efficiently across our network. ABOUT HYNDS Hynds is a leading supplier of water and drainage infrastructure solutions across New Zealand. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Transport and Logistics Manager, you'll be responsible for the safe, timely and efficient delivery of Hynds products between sites and to customers. You'll be a key face of our business on the road – representing our brand through professional service and excellent customer relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Deliver customer orders safely, on time and in full in line with delivery instructions • Obtain proof of delivery (PODs) for every order • Complete daily vehicle checks, maintain COF/registration currency and ensure all loads are secure • Operate crane and lifting equipment safely and responsibly • Maintain accurate driver logs, cartage logs and timesheets in line with NZTA requirements • Assist with yard duties, stock control and stocktakes as required • Report incidents and near misses promptly through the appropriate channels • Uphold Hynds' health, safety and environmental standards at all times • Build strong relationships with transport, despatch, and customer teams WHAT YOU'LL BRING • Full NZ Class 5 driver's licence (required) • F & W endorsements • Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience • A strong commitment to safety and road rules compliance • Excellent customer service skills – both internal and external • High attention to detail with paperwork and administration • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities • A team-player attitude – flexible, reliable and communicative • Sound commercial awareness and pride in your work WHAT WE OFFER At Hynds, we genuinely care about our people.
