Trinity Petroleum Services Pty Ltd is a locally operated long standing supplier of fuel and lubricants across Queensland. We specialise in the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of petroleum products to a diverse range of customers, including retail sites, agriculture, transport and industrial operations. We have 2 depots and 16 Fuel & Convenience Retail outlets in North Queensland from Townsville in the south to Cooktown in the north.
We’re looking for a hands-on Fleet and Driver Manager, preferably with experience in fuel transport to lead our team of professional drivers and oversee a fleet of specialised vehicles. This is a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of fuel products to our valued customers.
Our Fleet & Driver Manager is responsible for managing the Cairns based tanker drivers ensuring all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with relevant legislation. In addition, you will be responsible for the management of fleet assets, including but not limited to, operational utilization, maintenance, compliance and administrative requirements

Responsibilities
  • Maintain vehicle efficiency/utilization activities including scheduling and running cost management.
  • Plan and co-ordinate maintenance for all fleet vehicles (including light vehicles) including cost control and tyre management.
  • Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and vehicle compliance
  • Manage and support a team of licenced dangerous goods drivers
  • Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Operate fleet to Trinity Petroleum Standards and all government regulations including DG, SLP and NHVR.
  • Ensure equipment is up to standard for annual Certificate of Inspection for all fleet, including booking, tracking and sign off.
  • Ensure adherence to NHVR regulations, including fatigue, maintenance, mass, monitoring fleet operations, conducting regular audits and managing compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents and support a culture of continuous safety improvement.
  • Assist with the daily and weekly scheduling of drivers to meet customer delivery requirements and optimise fleet utilisation.
